Tracking Soar Truckee Gliders
 Did you ever want to know where everybody is flying, and whether they will make it back in time for the BBQ?
SPOT is a GPS-based telemetry system that broadcasts positions of SPOT equiped
gliders, and displays their positions on
Google maps. Position updates are broadcast
every 10 minutes.

Meet Soar Truckee's new manager
 Soar Truckee begins the 2008 soaring season with Doug Lent as its new manager. A certified flight instructor and tow pilot, Doug has been flying at Truckee for 16 years. He is also a member of the Silverado Glider Club.Doug has the knowledge and background to help establish STI as one of the finest soaring sites to be found anywhere. He takes the reins from Joe Silvestri who capably managed Soar Truckee for the last five years and contributed to its outstanding reputation as a world class glider operation.
